My parents are farmers like most people in Zanskar. I was born in Tungri Zanskar. Throughout my carefree childhoods I have never known anything other than my village surrounded by snow‑peaked mountains. Yet, fortunately I was able to attend the School in Zanskar, Then I went to Jammu for my further studies. with the help of my family I complete 12 class and afterwards I could not study because of financial problem.

During the school holidays I accompanied trekking groups to earn my pocket money. This meant something very special for me. In this way I can exert a wonderful profession. Since 2018 I am working in this tourism line and it has allowed me to bring smiles and memories for many people. I think we always meet the people that we must meet… so get the things as they have to come.

In the meantime, I had the opportunity to complete a Yoga course in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand, India. I now also offer and promote Yoga Trekking experiences in Ladakh, combining the beauty of the Himalayas with the practice of yoga for a holistic and enriching journey.

I now have the license from the Department of Tourism, UT Ladakh. Government of India and can lead my own trekking agency. I am glad that I can now realize my dreams and take my destiny in my own hands.

I hope to travel with a lot of guests for many years and show them the wonderful area and the diverse culture of Ladakh & Zanskar.
